Wonderful Countess. Hugs show care and to me, Love and care are so very important especially in this chaotic busy world we live in today. Her drawing definitely puts a smile on my face as children's artwork reflects their beautiful clear innocence and creativity. Picasso made some refrence "'he could paint like a pro but it takes a lifetime to paint like a child.'" So very true. . .

Excellent work! And don't think that I'm saying that just to be nice. I'm talking from experience. I'm a graphic designer but I also have experience working in the field of cartoon animation business - It isn't because you can't draw realistically that it means you can't draw.
*estatic* That's awesome. I wanted to be a character designer for either cartoon animation or video games.
Thanks ert! -starts reading it-

Written to an ex gf a few years back as a poem ... then it's morphed itself into this song which my friends and i play from time to time.
they all make me angry
people that i see
absorbed in their own pysches
no struggle to be free
the masses say what's normal
the friends say what's ok
rationality is subject
to what the masses say
i can't imagine thinking
of what i think is cool
the rules apply to those of us
who refuse to play the fool
i watch you from so far away
and let you be my sun
cast your light from far away
make it easy for me to run
This distance given when you're not aware
you watch from afar - oblivious of the stare
i can't fill the spaces you've created the parts of me just aren't there
Sorry i'm not the picture
that you've painted in your mind
i've fallen from other brushes
nobody's taken what was mine.
You've played with my loyalty
and shame for my display
of what i thought was "owed to you"
thanks to you - taken away
imagine me inside your world
conforming to your plans
suddenly i'm not me, since
you've crushed me in your hands
you somehow made me angry
i'll rage at you no more
ashamed to say - a needle
is that what i'm here for?
This distance, when you take it away
funny how it changes so fast
you've bended and shaped me into what subconsciously will last.
i'll give you no more feelings
i've tried my best to bend
to your preconceived notions
of what i should have been
you're all that i've seen wrong with
those few i try to please
my whole world surrounds you
what could put your soul at ease?
i am not your hero
i am not your god
the fact that i impact you
this much i find most odd
This distance, now much closer
is uncomfortable at best
these games now played by you my friend i'm glad your demons are off your chest
you've somehow made me angry
is that your sin or mine?
take your angry touch-me-nots which you choose to hide behind
i'm no longer angry
you didn't win, despite the rage
your mind is shoved in your own face time spent in your own cage
they all make me angry
people that i see
absorbed in their own pysches ... no struggle to be free

This is a great idea for a thread.
I describe myself as being 100% creative. It's all I can do. Put numbers into anything I have to do and I fall apart like a badly made souffle!
I am a professional photographer and always feel like a total fraud because when it comes to ISOs and all the numbers that go with photography, I don't have a damn clue! I shoot from the heart, which, as my mentor has told me, is the way great photography is produced. Fingers crossed that means I will go down in history as a master (or whatever the female equivalent is!)! Lol!

Welcome to the forum A Little Horror
I really like the photos in the Avant-Garde gallery. You should make a new thread in this subforum and post some of your work! |

Good One Gooup !
That's a bit of lateral thinking.
It deserves a T-Shirt!
That's the sort of thing that would make people stop and think?
Perhaps ask a question about it?
Gooup, that is a real work of art, that can really help people understand Dyscalculia? Where as they look at it, it looks like a word, but then it isn't? Where they have to go through a mental struggle to decode it.
The confusion that it creates in their mind, has a parallel with how Dyscalculics experience a string of numbers.
I just replied to a thread on using Cafepress to produce some badges for Dyscalculia.
Where if you compared people's reaction to a badge that had your 'spelling', to one that had the correct spelling. I'm sure that yours would be the one that got their attention!
So what do you think about us using your idea to 'Spread the Word'?
Even as a single word on a badge or t-shirt?
Great thinking!
